pictures or diagrams for reamping

Im trying to reamp my guitar signal from my Crate Powerblock amp. (Its just an experiment, not for a serious recording unless it turns alrite.) It has an XLR line out... can i use this to go straight to my Line6 UX2 xlr input??

Im not daring enuff to spoil my stuff.. so i guess i might ask the experts here to help bfore i ruin everything

plus, if anyone cud contribute a picture or diagram for proper guitar reamping. This way i guess, will be much easier for me to understand rather than reading long text explaining the steps, which i get confused a lot.

Thanx \m/

    It's really very simple.

Set up Sonar to record the Crate XLR -> Line6 -> Sonar. Or, record the Crate with a mic.
Add a short sound, like a single high hat to the original track.
Solo the original track and record.
Zoom in and nudge the new track back so the short hi hat samples line up. (This is necessary to make up for the time it took for the original track to get to the amp and back to Sonar)

Normally for re-amping you want to first record an un-amped (e.g. direct) guitar signal. So, in this case you'd connect the guitar directly to the UX2. In GearBox, Set up Send 3-4 to output the unaffected signal (pre switch, and mute the monitor) and use these as you track source in Sonar. You can set up amp models on Send 1-2 for monitoring purposes.

Once you've recorded the track, connect an analog out into a buffered stomp-box, then into your amp, but with the UX2 output set to match the normal guitar level. You can plug that into any amp you please and tweak knobs to your heart's content.

To be sure, a dedicated reamper probably works best, but this works pretty darned well without additional investment.
