Voxengo Voxformer V2

Just a heads up to the Voxengo fans.

Voxformer V2 is available for purchase/upgrade.

I've been test driving it tonight and Aleksey has delivered the goods, again.

Check out the demo.

Nice discount for V1 owners, too.

    Hi Phrauge-

I got the email and it is a nice discount, but I won't even let myself try the demo since there's no way I can afford anything but the essentials right now!

Anything in particular stand out for you? I've been using Voxformer on most if not all my projects since I got it, so I'm definitely a fan.

    Thanks-

    -Susan

    Good evening, Susan.

Still just kicking the wheels and getting the feel for V2 but the things that I'm liking ATM:

The GUI is easier to read.

The De-esser is a very nice addition.

Being able to not only group up to 4 channels but to solo and copy to the groups is going to be very handy.

You can save presets for the plug and in individual modules. (EQ, Dynamics, Presence, Gate & De-esser)

    Very nice, so far.

Just got the upgraded V2 last night. It's basically very similar but many more Edit windows to fine tune the parameters, especially for the Gate. Funny thing is, though... I was A/B'ing against V1 in same fx bin and I couldn't get exactly the same sound with same basic settings so looks like I'm going to have to work with the new version a bit and see what's going on under the hood.

But the GUI is much improved, especially the metering, and the price was right. And no WUP.

    Voxformer looks pretty sweet.

I've tried, but never been able to get comfortable with the VC-64.

I'll have to think about this one.

    Thanks.

I have voxformer v1. Used it for years. Still use it if I want a real processed sounding vocal.

Like Susan G, money is tight, so no more plugs for me for a while. (My wife still does not know I bought Jamstix2....couldn't stop myself)

But, more and more I just use Sonitus Compressor and EQ. (ever since I bought a Grace mic pre too)

yes...the new one I think M101 or something.

It has the ribbon mic option.

Cool. I have the regular 101. I'm guessing the ribbon mic option gives you even more gain?

Thats what they tell me....but i have never come close using all the gain available.

I have a few mics including a ribbon (not a royer!!), but I pretty much use my AM52 (vocals) and my NT5s (acoustic) and not much else these days.

I am really trying to get the best out of what I already have, and not looking for the next big thing.

When I hear what some people can do with a 57 and an audio buddy, I know I already have the equipment, need to get the skills.

Voxformer is a great vocal strip and I find myself using it a lot because of the ease to dial in the sound you are looking for.
The update looks very interesting ;<)
