Laptop Firewire Card Recommedations

Hi all,
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a laptop firewire express card? I just got a laptop running Vista 64 bit for some remote recording and teaching. I am using a MOTU ultralite mk III (with new stable drivers, hurrah!). Any help would be mucho appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Zo, that's the way I was leaning. I use their firewire card in my main studio rig-works great.

    Just something to think about.

On a Laptop the chipset that controls your Express card slot has to process everythin going into your laptop. This means that even if you buy a good quality and perhaps even a TI chipset Firewire card that is no guarantee that you'll get good performance.

on laptops that have firewire this can be especially deceiving as you think your onboard firewire is controlled by a lousy chipset so you buy an express card TI firewire to fix the problem. The data still has to go through the Express card Controller chips and the new express card doesn't always fix the problem.

Info I learned from you, Jim. thanks.
The new DAW is awesome. I can't believe the ease with which things get done, rendering, anything that was previously noticeably time consuming is just so smoothly handled. 64 bit, 6 GIG DDR RAM with an i7 920. haven't even gone down the over clocking road yet. Even though as I understand it this processor is really adept at being overclocked.

There are different types of Express cards (slots/sizes). I learned this by ordering an Express card and upon receiving it could not get it in the slot! I am using a SIIG card on my Dell 1525. I got it from Sweetwater; it was a special order for them. It works well with my Motu Ultralite MK3; however, I only use it occasionally away from my main DAW--at a friend's house, at the kitchen table, etc.

Let me add to Mike's reply, my Studio Cat i7 is awesome as well! Thanks Jim for my best musical investment!
