arx expansion board

hi guys ive had the v-studio for 2 months now and find it great ... i have just bought the arx-01 drum expasion board i installed it as per book and i thought that would be it ... i must be missing something so can some one help ......my steps are as follows........i open the synth rack, drop down the soft synths and go to arx then it says ..(cannot open arx midi ports pease ensure arx is connected and that the midi ports are not selected in the host)...then it says the folowing vst plug instrument failed to load ......is the arx expansion board a soft synth or a vst plug in and where should i access it from ...i thought i could access it like i do the fantom...... a step by step description of the installation would appreciated thank-you

It is good to keep an eye on the Midi Settings page. Only occasionally some odd behaviour ensues and the ARX and Fantom might become unchecked and hence not load or play. If you find this happens just check there and more often than not you will need to re engage them. If you find the console only works ony way (and it is rare too) go to the controllers page and make sure V700 is in both columns and also checked.
