EZX Jazz kit drum map anyone?

Hi all

I've just installed the EZX jazz kit and have been searching for its Sonar drum map.  Could find everything BUT at the Toontrack site.  Can anyone point me at it please?

Many thanks

Go ahead and give it a try.  All it takes is sitting down and keying in data.  If you get it crossed up, I'll be happy to lend a hand.

Those wizards at Toontrack got back to me.  Here is my question followed by their helpful reply...

    Details: - Hi Toontrack
I have just bought your EZX Jazz kit for use in Sonar. It sounds great, but I would really like a drum map for it. I cannot find a drum map on your site for this EZX. Does one exist, and please can you direct me to it?
    Many thanks
    Jamie

Resolution: Hi Jamie, If you go in to the downloads page of toontrack.com, then go to the Extra Downloads section, then look under Host Stuff>Cubase, there is a DrumMapswin.zip download that does contain a Jazz EZX drum map.I hope this helps

    Cubase - I ask you!!

Click on the little tiny question mark in the upper right hand corner of the EZ Drummer interface.

A drop down menu will appear listing the kits you have.

Mouse down to the Jazz kit and another drop down menu appears with an option to see the MIDI map for that kit. Select it and there you go.

    Listen

    Sonar 5PE
    Intel DP35DP, E6750, 3 GB, 80GB/320 GB
    Scope (6 DSP) w/A16 interface
    PadKontrol, Legacy Series MS20, EZDrummer.

That's not what drum maps wil do for you.  It will put the names in the PRV also as well as the other features.

Making a map isn't hard at all.  It's just time consuming, boring work.  Three of the existing drum maps on the Toontrack downloads site were done by me.

I haven't looked, did anyone ever do maps for the Funkmasters EZX?

The thing that was putting me off doing the map was not knowing what to call all the instruments and hits.  Thanks nprime for pointing out the midi mapping, - that answers that question.  If I have a spare hour I will have a bash at the drum map now I know what to call everything.

    Night all.

has a blank template that I use to make other kits.. so it's just a case of renaming..

after you start making them, it becomes easier.

    Jamie,
I believe the site referenced by Fog belongs to Mike McCue.  You might want to try and contact him to post the drum map.

Fog and Rich - thanks for the info.  I have uploaded it to speedyshare.  It can be found here:  http://www.speedyshare.com/552432367.html  Didn't take too long but its still one of the larger maps I've seen.

I would appreciate someone checking it out for functionality as this is the first major drum map I have done.  Once it gets the all clear I will happily submit it to TT as Dave suggests.

I will PM Mike about hosting it too.

    Cheers all
