Tips of the day! The Melodyne 64bit Guide!

Tips of the day! The Melodyne 64bit Guide!
http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=342

SONAR 8,64bit & Melodyne 3 Studio (Program) and the Melodyne Plugin.

Melodynebridge and Melodyne 3 Studio, and the Melodyne plugin are all still in 32bit only.
The Melodyne plugin is great and easy to use but Melodyne 3 Studio is far more advance then the plugin version. Example: You can copy and make harmonies, dubs very easy and very fast compare to the plugin version. There are in use of “Keycommands”. You can play “midi notes” on your keyboard in realtime, directly on the vocals or other audio material...and many.. many more features...

Melodyne 3 Studio (The program)

Melodyne 3 Studio official recommendation is to use SONAR 32bit and Melodynebridge direct X version or Rewire only. I can tell you right now that that will work but performance are bad and LOOP:ing in SONAR 8 doesn't work either, so working with Melodynebridge direct X mode and SONAR 8, 32bit is just to bad. Rewire and looping will work but only in 32bit mode, you can't bridge Rewire technology.

If you use the “Melodynebridge VST”-version instead (not the official recommendation) thru SONAR bitbridge inside SONAR 8, 64bit you will get better performance and LOOP:ing will now work instead as it should in the first place.
Also choose tracks in “Melodynebridge”-VST and SONAR bitbridge is little bit tricky because its track graphic is all behind the VST-plugin. But you will get it how to use it in a minute or two so that's no brainier.

Also another thing that will happen later is that you get a error message when closing SONAR 8, 64bit after you have worked with Melodyne 3 Studio in SONAR bitbridge. The error message will say that “Melodyne 3” didn't work correctly. No, really Einstein, tell me about it..hehe.. of course it doesn't work correctly, its in the 64bit mode.
“Jbridge” & “Melodynebridge”-VST will transfer, but unfortunately it doesn't play or sync from SONAR 8, 64bit & Melodyne 3 Studio. At least not in my computer...

* Don't use Steinberg Virtual Guitarist2 and Melodyne 3 Studio with bitbridge. It will make your computer seriously crash combine those two together.

Melodyne Plugin. (VST plugin)
http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=products_plugin&L=0%3FL%3D0

Those on Melodyne plugin, can unfortunately just forget it. You all need to use the 32bit version of SONAR 8. Melodyne plugin will work with bitbridge “open the plugin”, but you can't transfer any audio data to it in SONAR 8, 64bit-Bitbridge mode. Some say that it work with “Jbridge”, but I haven't get any of that success in my computer?

Melodyne 3 Studio & “Melodynebridge-VST” work better in SONAR 8 64bit, bitbridge then official recommendations. I hope Celemony deliver at least a new native 64bit, “Melodynebridge VST”-version instead very soon, even if Melodyne 3 Studio is still a 32bit Program?

I hope both the new Melodyne plugin 2 and the new Melodyne 4 Studio will be in native 64bit.
I don't now..we can all just hope that Celemony do understand the importance and what all users need and wants. Its all just benefits with 64bit and no downside, so nothing to loose just gain!

Best Regards
Freddie
