Diamonds in Piano Roll with Session Drummer 3

I am trying to manually pen in my drum notes in the piano roll using the PRV tool.  However, I only see like notes as if it were a piano or synth section.  Is there a way to switch to the diamond view, or would I have to make a custom drum map for session drummer 3.

I used to use velocity as a drum sampler brought over from project 5 and that would display diamonds, but I really like the sound fonts used with session drummer 3.

Is there any way to do this with out a drum map or just using the step sequencer?

THANKS!

There is a way to do it, but to be quite honest the fact the notes display like a synth part does not bother me so I never botherd to find out how to change it.

However you have made me curious so I had a quick look in the help file of the  old copy of version 6 I have on my laptop. Its in Instrument definitions. The help file says.

"Each bank can also be assigned a special Drum flag, which indicates that all patches in that bank contain drum sounds. If you set this flag, the Piano Roll view will display drum notes as diamonds, and the Staff view will use percussion notation. "
