Hey that's pretty good... going from "What's this time signature?" to "Here's my cover" in a week. Good work, man. I'll have to give it a detailed listen, and get back to you.

Why didn't you tell me you were an AA fan??!!! I have all their CDs and they were one of the best LIVE acts I've seen. I saw them when Nick Webb was still alive. They also had an electric player with them so it was 3 guitars plus the band and they were smokin' hot! Nice job here friend. Ironically I was listening to AA all day yesterday here at work. Very cool. Covered very well! Daryl

But I had this tape years ago and always loved this song.

Good grief--no wonder you couldn't figure out the time signature! That's crazy! Sounds like you nailed it, though, whatever it is. lol Very nice playing, as usual, and great recording. I'd never heard the song, but I like this. :-)

Haha, in the time it took everyone to argue out the time signature, you went ahead & finished the whole song. And you did a killer job, man. I don't know how to put it in technical terms, but your version sounds 'cleaner' to me. Your mix seems heavier on guitars, lighter on percussion etc... I like the way you did it since the song strikes me as a solo guitar piece. P.S. What time signature did you end up going with??

Thanks Janet. This kept my mind occupied this last week. Thanks Jimmyman. Thanks Spaceduck. The only way I could get my percussion loops to work was to setup the project at 280 bpm and set my measures 3/4,3/4,3/4,3/4,4/4 with an occasional 5/4 to even things out. Thanks geeare1. Appreciate the comments.

Hey Marcos, Really nice job man! You did that really quick too...you're a recording machine :-P Anyways, just wanted to let you know that you could've done the same by setting the tempo to 140 bpm with a 16/8 time signature for the most part (since this song changes time signatures constantly). The advantage of your method is that it outlines the accents on the guitar parts. But I guess it all boils down to what works best for ya. Again, good job my friend! Take care!

Tom, thanks for the listen. Yep, still banging. Thanks Jose. I agree I could have set it up differently, but this seemed to work best with the percussion loops I had available.

Mmm-hmm, nice, Mark. Playing sounds well done and the recording sounds nice. I'm not familiar with the original track, and I missed the thread on the time signature argument (I would have called it 4/4, myself, but I get what you did with it, too).

Nice performance/recording Mark. Did you use your guitar pickups to record or did you use a mic... or both?
