upgrade from 6 to 8?

I've been using Home Studio 6 for awhile now.
What new features would I get if I upgraded to 8?
I know Producer has the auto-tuner like snap to pitch thing, which would be helpful for our vocals... well mine especially ;-)

does Home Studio 8 have that? If not, what new features would I get?

There is no Home Studio 8 and HS7 would be a downgrade fromSHS4 or SHS6

    What Zungle said.
Are you thinking of Sonar 8 Studio Edition?
It does not have AudioSnap. It does have track layering, which is nice for multiple takes. Sort of tracks within tracks.
The audio engine is noticably more efficient than SHS6. We noticed the CPU hit in SHS6 relative to SHS4 when it was released. The flip side of that is that SHS6 seems to handle the data more cleanly that SHS4, at least to my ears. Sonar 8 Studio maintains the clarity, but is more gentle on the CPU. I am still running a P4, and that sort of thing is important.
That said, I still use SHS6 most of the time, because my favorite amp sim (FreeAmp2), crashes Sonar 8.
I understand the philosophy behind SHS7, but SHS6 was a great program. Maybe dangerously good, and Cakewalk felt a need to distance it from the flagship product.
Check out the descriptions in the Cakewalk store on Sonar 8(or currently 8.5). If it offers something you genuinely need, go for it.
Otherwise, you already have what I think is the best bang for the buck package they have ever offered.
    Just my thoughts.
