ABX testing... automatic players? whats cool these days?

I'm just staring to search out and study up on ABX playback software for Windows?

Any recommendations?

Is there anything that will automatically normalize the playback for the sake of consistency?

Hi John, yes I was at that sight last night.

I get the impression that PCABX has been built into FOOBAR2000... which I downloaded last night.

Any thing else available?

Foobar also has a auto level type feature where you scan your files and then there is something placed in the header that tells the player to adjust level on the fly.

I'm trying t think that thru... is it a good way to test or should you adjust the playback level at the actual hardware stage?

I thought I might find more apps that did this but so far just FooBar and some command line stuff seems to be what is available.
