Is V-studio a Duplication with Sonar?

So what is the point of using V-Studio when Sonar as a standalone can do the multitracking, mixing, and recording?  How do I justify spending up to 3,700 plus dollars when Sonar and a good computer is powerful enough?  What am I missing about V-Studio?  Please help me to understand.  Thank You!

The VS 700 is a three part system. The V 700 console, the V 700 interface, and the Fantom Synth. It is basically a tailored system of control, input/output and hardware Synthesizer. The console allows you to control, edit, monitor and access Sonar from a hands on single surface. A method many sound engineers prefer when recording and mixing. It allows you work without the mouse with all the needed controls at your finger tips. Once you learn the surface it is much faster than the mouse and you can do multiple actions at the same time without using the mouse method of selecting, instructing, ordering.
There is a whole long list of actions which are easier and faster.
The V 700 interface works in conjunction with the console and both work flawlessy with Sonar.
You can do everthing with a mouse and keyboard when you have a good interface already but it won't be tied together as seamlessly as the VS 700 system.
The choice will ultimately be yours, I hope you base it on complete study of the VS 700.
