Sonar produced track #1 for 3 weeks on Billboard Smooth Jazz

Just wanted to let you know my friend Chris Standring's latest single "Bossa Blue" was produced in Sonar, including the bass track which I did here at mt place. It's been #1 for 3 weeks now on the Smooth Jazz charts!

I was hanging with Rico tonight when he told me about this. Us Sonar users need to give the skeptics more examples to help them see the light.

This thread is the light ;)

Soundclick is quite good. Glad to know that someone using Sonar has gone straight to the top and for three weeks. I should give Sound click a go too!

Is the song available to listen too on you tube!

Does this mean that Sonar has grown up?

Cakewalk and Roland should celebrate their success...
I was skeptical of their union at first, but Now; I realise these two bed partners our now making babies.
So their baby Sonar 8.5 is now on the map. I guess Sonar 9 will finally come of age and we will see producers using this product.

The Baby has now become a Boy!

Or am I allowing my imagination to run wild?

Nicely done! Again - I believe Sonar is any bit as good as ANY other piece of DAW.

Not to brag, but to affirm Sonar as legit kitt, I recorded a track for the Soweto Gospel Choir last year in Sonar, and it was mixed by legendary Mick Glossop in British Grove Studios, UK. He found absolutely nothing to complain about in the tracks I sent him. The song was featured on a film called "Agape, We Are Together" and I believe that made it to #6 on the Billboard World Charts.

I also get plenty of chart success in South Africa using only ever Sonar and I love the program. Currently tracking concerts for a TV series called Unplugged Joy Of Jazz, and by the end of next month that show will have included some big US jazz names as well (can't say who at this stage, but they're big).

As one of my audio mentors always say, it's the ear, not the gear :O)

So let's all get out there and put the Superman-is-better-than-Batman nonsense to rest!

Actually, Chris produced and engineered it himself on a computer I built for him! I believe it was mixed by Rodney Lee, but all recording was done on Sonar by Chris except for the bass which I did here.

Oh, and we're definitely not talking Soundclick here! This is actual radio play as reported through BDS/Billboard!
