You mean you're actually using X1 at this moment in time?

Where did you buy it?

I may be wrong but I think I saw a demo where Brandon highlighted a section of an envelope and dragged it. The nodes were automatically added at the start and end of the selection as soon as he began dragging.

Am I imagining this? Did anyone else see it or did I just dream it?

It is not a dream :) I also saw it and I think Brandon confirmed this in some other thread.

Great feature :)

Is it just like Pro Tools?

Doing a search I found this, it's certainly not intuitive, but works well:

  1. Using the smart tool, hover over the automation line so the mouse icon shows a plus (+) with no arrows
  2. click and drage the area to add automation points around
  3. release the mouse button, and move the mouse up until it shows a plus with arrows on it
  4. click and drag up or down, the automation points will be added and the selection will adjust to your mouse movements

It's different, but better than the old way, IMHO.  Just wish it was more obvious, or at least better documented!

Peace!

Old fred alert !!!!!!!!!

Having said that the way of doing this now is so easy and quick it's unbelieveable how bad the old way was.
