Are you running your computer as a web server per chance? Or is it when a particular app tries starting up?

Nope I'm not running as a web server that I know of. I wouldn't even know how to run as a web server. It usually pops up when booting up. And, rarely, when using LiveMail. What the heck is it? I googled it and just got all manner of highend tech talk.

Happens during which boot up process, Windows or the BIOS? What version of Windows are you running?

Only our home wireless network. Which just means my wifes laptop. However I've never "locked" our wireless network to prevent our neighbors from using it. If that means a dang thing.

Do you still have the same prompt when you boot up in safe-mode?

Found a step-by-step detailed explanation on how to narrow down the problem in plain english: The first thing to do would be to run a full virus/malware scan to eliminate that possibility. If a virus scan turns up nothing, or the message continues, then you can use the MSCONFIG tool to figure out which program is causing this error: Press the <WINDOWS_KEY>+<R> key combinationIn the run box, type "MSCONFIG" (without quotes), and press <ENTER>. You might have to respond to a UAC prompt. In the Startup tab of MSCONFIG, clear the checkmarks for everything except your anti-virus, then click OKAllow MSCONFIG to reboot the computer. If the message has gone away, then one of the items you disabled is the cause. Run MSCONFIG again, and enable each item one at a time, rebooting each time. If the message comes back, then the last one you re-enabled is the culprit. Enable everything else except that one.

Or can disable startup items using ccleaner by clicking on the tools icon and then the startup button to narrow down what's causing the problem

Haven't done anything yet to help but I'm trying! We need to narrow down what is causing the message first.

I never remove my iLoks. But it could have something to do with iLoked software as the last time it happened was after I installed a new update. Hmmm.

yorolpal ...is a recurring pop up I get occasionally when booting up. Do any of you computerphiles know what this is and how I can get rid of it??? Do you login with a userid and password? Is there any difference in the userid you are logging in with and does that userid have Admin privileges? Don't know that this will help but most of the references I find to this error relate to the questions I ask. HTH Mike

No I don't use a password or anything and I'm pretty sure I'm running as the administrator...gawd how I hate that jargonized, obfuscational and confusing term and way of doing things. PS: Since I just got that dialog again upon boot up I can report that it is titled "TIBA". Whatever that is or means. Gustabo??

yorolpal "TIBA" Are you using an M-Audio soundcard? I got a Fast Trac Ultra (FTU) a few months ago and after installing the driver I got the hated TIBA captioned dialog (though mine says "The Data Is Invalid"). It comes up right when the driver is loading during startup. I can reproduce it by turning the FTU off then back on. Haven't found a solution for that (yet). Mike

Yup. I'm using a Fast Track Ultra. And I'm sure that's the culprit as I get occasional BSODs that reference the FTU. I've put in a support ticket at M-Audio but don't expect to hear from them until after the holidays.

This almost definitely has to do with my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. It has happened to several folks on the M-audio Forums and my BSODs ALL reference the FTU. It's such a great, fast interface but I suspect it needs some new drivers. I'm running the latest drivers now but still get BSODs. They are infrequent but happen just often enough to irritate me. I'm sure now that once my FTU ultra problems clear up...so will this one. PS: I started a support ticket over the holidays with M-Audio about this and have heard absolutely nothing back yet. I figure I won't until after the New Year. Contrast that with an issue I had with Celemony on Christmas Eve. They got back to me the next morning...Christmas Day!!!
