Editing Audio Transient Markers - Never Mind - I Found It

I'm having trouble searching for this one...

I must have missed it somewhere, but can anyone tell me how to insert a transient Marker when editing cip map?

...and it would also be handy to know how to show/hide trnasients on any active track... there is no longer a button....

That was the first thing I noticed in Audio Snap that was not where it used to be... before I learned that audio snap didn't work.

I figured I'd figure it out later, but honestly didn't want to ask because I didn't feel like being ridiculed for having wished I knew where that function now was.

Maybe someone that knows where that feature went can tell us?

I imagine that if all one has is a 1800 page manual... that one may be able to look it up and attempt to make the rest of us feel inadequate for having expected to be able to find it simply with intuition or using past experience.

Hi Mike...

It turns out pretty simple and Audiosnap is working in this case here... I haven't used it much...

To insert a transient:

1)enable audiosnap for that clip
2)select Audio transients in the track's Edit Filter
3)use Alt-click to insert transient marker...

the manual also shows you can do this by placing the now time where you want the marker and using Ctrl-Alt-I

I guess the only single way to know that is to read the manual.... it used to be an easy to see labeled option... so you could simply figure it out right at the interface.

Yeah, that seems to be the main plan here in X1... Get rid of the "clutter" Hide everything somewhere... I too have never had to look up so many things in any program of any kind....

Maybe it'll be good once I learn all the hiding places (and remember which is which... "Is that an ctrl-shift-alt-click or a sjift-ctrl-rightclick"? (figurative)...
