Recording Stops Suddenly without warning

When recording a single audio track, SONAR stops recording after a minute or so (time varies between 10-60 seconds).  I also have Home Studio 2004 installed & this problem does *not* occur with that version.

I recently installed the 7.01 patch before posting this message.  My computer settings are below.  I've uninstalled my anti-virus software,  disabled my wireless LAN, etc & still same issue.  I have not made any changes to the standard configuration beyond what came with the default installation.   I do not have any other existing audio tracks in the project file.  This is Audio Track #1.

I'm playing a SONAR MIDI track through a hardware sequencer (Roland PMA-5) and recording the audio thru my factory audio-card on the eMachine desktop PC.   I've done this countless times with HS 2004 & never had this issue ever come up.  Any ideas would be appreciated !!

My Computer:
* Vista 32-bit (all current upgrades)
* eMachine T5274
* Pentium Dual CPU 2GHz
* 2G RAM
* Wireless LAN
* SONAR Home Studio 7.0.1.120

Thanks...Mark

    since you're using your onboard soundcard then change to MME driver mode:
    OPTIONS>AUDIO>DRIVER MODE = MME
    click APPLY
    let the wave profiler run.
