Er Hu sound inquiry

I have been trying very hard to find the instrument call Er Hu in Sonar X1 Producer, but I can't find it. Can anyone share with me the location of the Er Hu? A pic of Er Hu is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Er_hu Thanks.

    what makes you think there's an er hu in there hu? you may have to purchase a separate sample lib or vst

    There is a reasonable free VSTi Mini Erhu from Kong Audio, a Chinese company specalising in Chinese instruments

    There is a full version too http://www.chineekong.com/chineeerhu.htm The spec says it need JBridge for 64 bit Sonar. Mini Erhu works fine with bitbridge.

    There are a couple Erhu of patches for Dimension Pro in the Emu Proteus pack Planet Earth.

    East West Silk has very nice erhu samples w/ lots of articulations. One or two of the other EW libraries has erhu samples, but w/ fewer articulations.

    I am trying to install the Mini Er Hu (the free version). I am using Sonar x1 producer on a 32 bit Win 7. May I know what is BitBridge? Thanks.

    Since i am trying to install the Mini Er Hu. However, the problem is there is no installer in the .rar file. There is only a MiniErHu.dll file in the .rar file. So, may I know how can I install the Mini Er Hu into Sonar? Thx.

    Copy the dll into your VST folder. Then go into Sonar's preferences and rescan the VST folder. Another way is to unzip the rar somewhere and add the path to Sonar's VST search path.

    js516, I have copied the dll file into vstplugins folder and rescan it using Cakewalk Plug=in Manager. However, after i selected an Er Hu sound from the MiniErHu synth,there is no sound. When i pressed a key on my midi controller there are visual signal on the Inspector, but there are still no sound. Pls help. Thx.

    Did you assign the VST synth's output to an audio track and routed the audio track to either your main bus, or monitor output?

    Don't know how much you want the Erhu sound but FWIW the Erhu in Roland JUPITER-80 (and V-Synth GT) is fantastic!
