Bouncing Tracks with Silence

Hello all! 

I'm running into a bit of a logistical issue. I've been making trance in Sonar for years and am starting to work on a performance workflow in Ableton. To do this, I'm trying to bounce each track in my projects to individual .wav files. 

I realize that I can do this relatively easily from within SPE8 (haven't gotten around to upgrading) in the Export... menu, but when I do, the clips are different lengths (as expected) since they start at different times and end at different times.

What'd I'd like to do is bounce the individual tracks so that they are ALL the same length when I'm done; that length would be the total length of the project.

I've gone through a few projects and added a quarter note to a measure before and after the start of the song to each track, then trimmed later, but this is a massive pain when I'm working with 25+ track projects. 

Any thoughts?

bounce to clips (if more than 1 per track) and then drag the front of new clips to the beginning, and the end to the end (don't know why you'd want the ends the same). 

And, I don't understand your 1/4 note add?

Hm, I didn't think there'd be a convenient way of doing it; bouncing to clips isn't really an option (unless there's a technique that I'm just not aware of), since I'm working almost exclusively with MIDI -> softsynths. 

The 1/4 note add simply made all of the tracks start at the same point.

Maybe if you clearly describe what it is you are trying to accomplish, someone will have some decent advise.

I think your 1/4 note is probably a good idea and is what I have done in the past when sharing song files to other DAW's. The other option I was told is to export as Broadcast Wave which will time stamp the track. Havn't tried it yet but I makes perfect sense.The track is then imported as a Broadcast wave and automatically aligns to where it wasin the time line.

Nor do you need to extend the clips or tracks out. Just set start and end markers, select the track and the start to end span in in the time ruler. (.. I like 'Go to' with the marker arrow tools, F9 sets start, F10 set end..
