Is there a way to access the Vel Offset from the Mackie Emulation Mode?

I'm cycling through each parameter but I never get the Velocity Offset (or Trim) on a Midi track. I'm wondering if it's just the BCF2000 MCU implementation or if it's the same for everybody else. It seems to be related to the MCU emulation mode because I can do it from the BCR2000 and it's working fine but then I'm restricted to only 8 tracks instead of 16 in my case.

I'll have to check but if it is available it should be there in single track mode (when there is a period after the track number) and also multi channel mode but you may have to step through the parameters to find it. You can do that by lighting the "Edit" mode light and using M1 + channel or bank keys.

I haven't used a BCF in a while but the guide I wrote is still up on my site. HERE that will explain it in more detail.

Hey FastBikerBoy,
I'm actually pretty good with the BCF2000 MCU emulation now that you showed me how to use BCVIEW . For a Midi track when I'm cycling through the parameters or using tr. I get:
(Vol, Pan, Output, Input, Bnk, Pch, blank, blank, Chrorus, blank, blank, blank, Reverb, blank, blank, blank).

For having dabdled with Sonar Control Surfaces I know that internally a Midi track has the following parameters available:
00-"Vol", 01-"Pan, "02,"Mute", 03-"Solo",04-"Archive",05-"Record Arm",06-"", 07-"",08-"",09-"Count",
10-"In", 11-"Count",12-"Out",13-"",14-"Bnk",15-"Pch",16-"Key+",17-"Vel+",18-"",19-"",
20-"", 21-"Chorus (default Ch. 1)",22-"",23-"",24-"" 25-"", 36-"Input Monitor".

- 0 and 1 are accounted for (Vol,Pan).
- 2 to 5 are skipped because the MCU has direct buttons for that (Mute,Solo,Archive,Record).
- 6 to 8 are for audio track only (Trim,Phase,Interleave).
- 9 and 10 (Input) goes together and same for 11 and 12 (Output) and are accounted for.
- 13 is readonly to flag a Midi track so not useful.
- 14 and 15 are accounted for (Bank,Patch).
- 16(Key offset) and 17(Vel offset) are mysteriously absent unless there is another button on the MCU.
- 18 is to get or set a track so again direct button on the MCU (Select).
- 19 to 23 are for send parameters so it depends on the content of the FX bin
- 24 and 25 are not implemented yet in Sonar (monitoring)
- 36 (input Monitor) probably not very useful for a Midi track even if listed

All in all the only things useful that seems to be missing are Key Offset and Vel Offset unless you have them on your MCU. It's not something you use very often but I'm trying to mix 12 midi tracks of percussions  to use with Battery so in this case it would be very useful.

I'll check when I get back to the studio but if you haven't got it on the BCF I doubt it'll be present on the MCU seeing as the comm protocol is the same.

IIRC gain isn't on the audio either.

Could you use 'velocity' from midi plugins in the fx bin as a workaround?

I gave it a try but could not get it to work although I have a feeling that it should. Oh well - Thanks anyway!
