Digging this CD

I've been enjoying this CD since it first came out several years ago.  It's the first album by Eric Gales Band.  Eric's later albums didn't do it for me, but this first one is fantastic.  The CD is not available anymore commercially, but you can still grab copies via eBay, Amazon, etc.  Anyway, I was listening to it again today and thinking, Man, this a great album.  There's not a lame track on it anywhere.

The guitar sound is raw and relentless.  There's more bluesy soul here than I've heard in most other recordings in the last decade.  Eric is amazing, but his brother Eugene is incredible.  Hubert Crawford on drums hits like he's swinging sledgehammers.  The band lays down a groove and Eric just wails over the top.

I would post a link to it, but I can't search for good links from work.  If anyone is interested in trying to track it down, it's a self-titled album released in 1991.  Here's a Wikipedia link.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Gales

Anyway, I thought I'd share with the rest of the class.

If you can find a link for Piece of My Soul, I highly recommend it.  When the they reach the end of that last chorus, I'm ready to go out and do some Day-Siezing.  Fed Up With You is a great slow blues groove.  When Eugene yells out, "Somebody pass this boy his guitar!", I want to shout, "YES!  Do it!".
