ZETA+2 PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALLING EXPANSION PACKS
-

( #1 )
Everything was running smoothly until I installed these expansion packs: Xenos Soundworks Bundle for Z3TA+ 1.5 and 2 AND Z3TA 2 and Free Mutant Patches. When I open a track that has previously used other patches in ZETA they no longer work,(or you get a horrible buzzing sound) even though they are in the correct folder and can I see the FXP files for them. I get... Error: Program data load failed Installed exactly as recommended, have uninstalled and reinstalled ZETA and the expansion packs again. Just when everything finally seems to be running smoothly I get this ****... AARRRRGGGGHHHHHH Suggestions more than welcome.

Not yet, still waiting on Tech Support reply, but seems to have something to do with inability of Z3TA to uncompress the files. Why that should start happening now I don't know, it may not be because of the expansion packs, it might be a Sonar glitch? Will Post again once I find out. M.

PROBLEM SOLVED Still have not heard from Tech Support but I finally figured it out. There are 2 issues: 1. When you unzip the expansion packs it puts versions for Z3ta 1.5 and 2 in the 'destination folder' (Cakewalk Content - Z3TA+2 - 'Programs'). When you open Sonar and it scans the VST folder for Z3ta I think the 1.5 version screws everything up some how. So if you are using Z3ta+2, get rid of the 1.5 crap out of the destination folder BEFORE you run Sonar. 2. When you unzip the expansion packs it puts too many folders in the destination folder. It should be a 3 level hierarchy in the 'Programs' destination folder, ie. Program Name - Banks - Patches. So again you need to get rid of the extra folder BEFORE you run Sonar so you just have 'Program Name folder - Bank names folder - Patch names folder' I really like Sonar, but it is crap like this that can make things extremely frustrating - LIFT YOUR GAME CAKEWALK!!! I feel your pain here..... 1. I got lucky with the Xeno's sound banks......When I unzipped them I seen that issue plus the fact that it unzips and has a few extra layers (folders) before you get to the actual patches....I I just made a new folder and then dragged what I needed into this new folder and then copied these into the Z3ta+2 programs folder......worked right out of the box.... HOWEVER.... 2. When I select a Xenos patch it plays fine but then try to modify it using the arp I get no sound....Z3ta+2 will not speak again until I change patches..... I do not have a clue as to why this is..... The factory content allows me to use the arp section but not the Xenos patches....Weird.... Clifford
