Thanks to Greg Hendershott

Has anyone said 'thanks and farewell' to Greg Hendershott' yet?  The Cakewalk experience may not be perfect, but I've been with it for about 15 years, since I finally abandoned my Atari520 (on 10G now!!) and it's enriched my life enormously.  Thanks, Greg, and I hope you enjoy whatever you do next.

Greg - thanks to you and the team you put together. It's enriched my life.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Bought my first copy of CW for DOS from Greg himself over the phone; man that was a LONG time ago now; 1988? I was still burger flipping my way through electrical engineering school at the time ...

    Anyway, thanks Greg! :-)

Hmmm... I feel such a nob, because I've never heard of the guy... How sad, considering that I, too, have been using Cakewalk since, I think it was 3... I remember that it came bundled with a Soundblaster card way back when. It was a godsend then, because I was slumming it with Cubase Lite, which was an absolutely awful product, and CW3 liberated me from what was MIDI hell!

So, yeah, I should add my thanks and wish Mr Hendershott all the best!

Greg, thank you also from an Italian guy.

I use cake products since wincake ver. 4.00, and upgraded every year.

My first experience with DAWs started in about 95 or 96 after years of analog tape recording and racks of hardware, not to mention the editing table complete with razor blade and Scotch tape to manually make those cuts and pastes! It was with Pro Audio 9 working for a studio owner who had no idea what this stuff was! What a learning experience that was. GREG, YOU WILL BE SORELY MISSED! I do not profess to speak for everyone but you have defintely been an innovator in this business. Whatever and wherever you decide to go from here, we all owe a debt of gratitude to you for your hard work and dedication. Every day that we fire up our DAWs and see that Cakewalk logo come up we should all thank the powers that be for you and your hard work. And let's not forget the wonderful staff there. I am sure they all agree that you will be fondly remembered every day they work on the newest feature or upgrade. Go with love and peace!

Sonar Platinum, Sonar X3e, Sonar X2a , Sonar X1 Expanded and 8.5.3 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 on a Toshiba P75-A7200 Laptop with i7 @ 2.4 quad and 8 gigs of RAM and secondary WD 1 Tb drive, Windows 10 desktop, Asus i5 @ 3.2 quad, 12 gigs RAM, 1 Tb drive, 1 500 gig drive, MOTU 24io, 2 Roland Studio Captures, Saffire 6 USB for laptop, Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 mixer, Alesis Monitor 2s, Event BAS 20/20s, Roland Micro-Monitor BA-8s, and 45 years worth of collecting FX, Mics, Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards!
