What's the best way to utilize ".wav" samples in SONAR X1?

I bought a pack of drum samples (individual snare, kick, hi-hat, etc samples) that come as ".wav" files zipped in a folder. I would like to be able to use some kind of sample player to trigger these samples via midi notes.

I also have SampleTank2, so I don't know if maybe it'd be possible to load my drum samples onto that...or would that cause the samples to lose quality?

    You've got beatscape, and probably session drummer...  dropzone if you can figure out what that is....   Rapture can be used as a sampler if you have it...

    I'm like 99% sure this is going to load wav files, and its freeware

    You have an abundance of choices

    EDIT =  From IKmultimedia's website, "
    Imports WAV, AIFF, SDII, AKAI S-1000/3000 and SAMPLECELL instruments directly from the plug-in "
    So..  obviously, you should be able to use that as well.

    that sounds like the hard way to do things..... dropping individual waves into a time line or mapping them to a sampler/synth.

    But if that works for you.....

    I much prefer the "ready to go" synths where I simply let it play (Jamstix) or one of the SI kits where I simply drop in midi loops or build my own loops.

    call me lazy.....
