    Possible interpretations...

    1) The cat has succeeded in delivering a fatal blow to the dog and is now basking in his glory.
    2) That's not a real cat.  The dog is laying on a very life-like chew toy.
    3) There's something important the cat knows that the dog does not...
    4) It's all a part of the cat's ploy to lure a human within reach and then strike.

Squirrels were there with the Chihuahuas.  Bunnies present a nice, target rich environment.  Ducks are good, but they're frequently needed for joke freds along with priests, rabbis, and the occasional horse.

I saw a squirrel fight a cat once.

    The cat lost.  Badly too.

Well look what the cat dragged in! Back for yer annual check up, I see. Hmmm. Gums pinkish red and swollen. Breath seems a little stale. I'd say it's a mild case of gingivitis-becanus. Just lay off the pork for a while and it should clear up in no time. Nice teeth, though.

    ...

nice try, but you're not getting my becan THAT easily!
