This soup has got me out of many medical jams...great for fighting colds too !! Miracle Chicken Soup Recipe 1-Fresh Whole Chicken Leg, rinsed 1- 32 oz box of Low Salt Chicken Broth 1- Can of Green Beans rinsed 1- Can of Potatoes, rinsed 1-Cup of Carrots, canned, diced or baby carrots all work fine with this recipe and are optional. 1- Medium Diced Onion 3- Stalks of Celery, Diced 4-6 Cups of water 1-Cup of Barley Mrs Dash Original ****e to taste. Put all ingredients except the barley, into a large soup pot and cook on medium high for about 15-20 minutes, Take out the Chicken Leg and cut the meat off the bone, and diced it up to bite size pieces. Put the meat and the bone back into the soup, add barley and cook for another 20-30 minutes. Discard the bones. Add extra water if necessary. Salt and pepper to your taste. Stir occassionaly. Turn off the heat. Enjoy it right away or let it sit for 30-60 minutes. Pour into bowl and refrigerate any left overs.

Chicken soup for the Sonar user. It looks like a good recipe. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a cook so I'll have to image it. Thanks for posting it. I'm confident that someone will put it to use.

WOAH! A whole chicken leg? I hope you at least mean leg as in leg and thigh. Don't skimp on the chicken man, buy a whole chicken. If you're only cooking for one then look for a small chicken or at least 1/2 or 1/4'd. My little lady makes the best damn chicken soup I've ever had and I don't really like chicken or soup as a meal. But I don't care if she makes 5 gallons of this stuff, just between her, her son and me it never makes 3 days. She uses a whole chicken but uses the breast meat to make her awesome chicken salad to go along with the soup. So don't skimp on the chicken. If you end up with too much for the soup use the rest for chicken salad. If life gives you chicken, make soup and salad. Mike

The ESS PEE III SEE EEE word is automatically banned for some reason. It's very important to use the chicken leg and thigh because that's where the medicine comes from I believe. I've been told it's something in the bone that has medicinal properties to it. All I know is that when I feel a cold coming on, I eat a few bowls of this soup and the cold symptoms disappear. I recently have been having severe lower back pain. Believe it or not, a few bowls of this soup cured that too. While I was dealing with colon cancer I was also in a lot of pain, I would eat this soup and the pain would go right away....

I like the leg and thigh the best personally. Breast is too tasteless and dry. So if 1 leg/thigh is good that stands to reason that 2 would be better lol. Mike

I'm a breast man. Does that make me a bad producer person?

The breast doesn't have the same medicinal properties as the leg does. There's something in the bones that have healing qualities. I've already made chicken soup with the breast and it doesn't work at all for curing colds or anything else. You must use the chicken leg with the bone.

I now have a one-legged chicken bouncing around the kitchen. What am I supposed to do with it?

You don't even have to use so much that it changes the taste of the soup. It gets you sweating and that helps kill what ails you.

Any kind of pepper is good for the lungs so I'm told. So if you want to go ahead, but it's not necessary. The soup by itself will yield results in about 30-60 minutes if not sooner. It's cured my colds many times. It's really good stuff !!
