Hey having trouble with the M S W on my music creator

On my track I cant play anything and they were not purposly on mute.The Mute nor solo works.If I click on it it does not turn green or anything I need help.

We're going to need a lot more information from you before we can even get a clue as to what the problem is.
Which version of Music Creator are you using?
What is your computer's operating system and is it a 64-bit operating system?
What sound card or audio interface are you using?
Is this happening in MIDI tracks or audio tracks, or both?
Are you using software synthesizers?
If so, which ones?
What are the outputs of your tracks set to?

I use music creator six My computer operating system is windows 7. It is 16 bit. THis is happening to both midi and audio tracks The out puts are set realitik speakers and master. I use alias factor,classic fader,studioverb,compressor,para-q,multivoice chorus.

OK... here's my story and I'm sticking to it. On my Dell laptop.....I have NEVER, and I mean that, never been able to get any sound out of any cakewalk product. None, nada, zip..... ain't happening.  I have tried all the options including ASIO4ALL with the same dismal results. 

HOWEVER, if I plug in my Focusrite Saffire interface, the sound is be-you-tea-full.  That's the way it is here. 

The factory card in not a good option ...BUT in case you have to use it due to cash funding being a bit low... be sure you are using the MME driver mode. 

My guess is the problem is soundcard/driver related. 

A nice USB interface would solve the problem. 

well it is not that because before I got sound but the thing is the msr remote does not work and the sound will not play except for the last one.

Quite often people will come here and make similar comments that it worked and now it doesn't. We want to help. Understand that we are not cake staffers, we are users like yourself who want to be helpful because we have all been exactly where you are now at some point in the past. 

Please understand that we are reading your posts and trying to understand your problem. The sentence in post 6 is difficult for me to understand.

sorry.... could you explain this in more detail?   I understand the mute/solo isn't working but that last part .... I'm clueless what that means.  When explaining issues it is helpful to explain what you were doing, what happened, and when it happened....  in as  much detail as possible.

Herb, does MC6 have an archive function?
I don't see the track archive button in the MC6 views, but if I engage that in X1, the buttons in question are disabled.
And, of course, the track does not play back.

I don't use MC6 much but I do have it so I'll turn it on and check....

If I remember right, either 5 or 6 did have some features removed but the icons were left in the GUI...and if it is MC6... that would explain the issue Jane is having. 


I seem to recall someone else having a similar issue..... they could mute the track or archive it but then there was no way to turn it back on. OR.....am I thinking about something else....?  I think it was a bug.

dang.... seems my version of MC6 is not authorized.......hummmmmmm? So I tried to register it...... invalid reg code..... double hummmmmm?   

So waiting on support to reply.  I have the code on a sheet...and it is in my store regs..... ?????

I think we're having a communication problem here.  I suspect that English is not your first language - which is OK, we just need to work through it together.
 
what exactly do you mean by "rack that works on my project is the last one."?  I don't understand what the "rack" is that you're talking about.

I meant track and the msr remote is not working on any of the tracks except for the last one.I need help on making it work again so I can do solo or mute again.

Is the msr remote mean - mute, solo, and record (arm track) is not working except on the last track used?? Do you save often??

there's a MUTE and SOLO button on the TRANSPORT as well as on each track - are either of those lit?
