Audition selctd Clips w. Spcbr + Shift: Is there an option to play from current Now Time?

Sorry for the truncated thread title (not enough room). I just read in the manual I can audition specific tracks or clips (and the rest of the tracks/clips remain silent) by holding Shift + Spacebar. This is very very cool BUT it makes playback start at the beginning of the clip closest to the beginning of the project. This kind of ruins it's usefulness for me. I'd like to be able to have this function start playback at the currently selected Now Time instead of jumping to the start of the clip. Is this possible?

Thanks.

No one? Oh well. Just found another cool feature. The Auto Fade for starting and stopping playback (Edit > Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording: Set Start/Stop fade times). Makes for MUCH smoother starting and stopping. Those pops drive me nuts when pressing play. At 30ms now they are all gone and the fade isn't even noticeable. I set the stop fade to 10ms.

Very cool and I feel like I'm doing my monitors a favor.

No, audition plays whatever data is selected.

Thanks, Scott. Just tried to Range Select as a work around but that doesn't seem to work either. Oh well.

    Cheers.

I had an idea to try a temporary split with right portion selected as the default, but that doesn't work either. The original selection is still played.

Ha! I thought the same thing but figured splitting/unsplitting would negate any convenience anyway. Man... it's like a half feature. I've got a bunch of potential feature requests so I guess I'll add this to the list if I can ever get around to it all.

I just figured it would be a cool way to compare track sections which I do a lot of when mixing my solos.

    Thanks for trying, Karl.
