    +1

the ability to customize the faders and knobs would be awesome!
    it's a shame it's not possible! =/

    please, cakewalk, unlock this feature!
and implementing a "safe-mode" that starts sonar with the default bitmaps (by holding shift when starting up, or something) would prevent us from making irreversible mistakes

    ...one can always dream..

I know that the problems I'm having with it are known by the bakers....if not, well
there is a much bigger problem.

It'll even screw up my mouse! geeze...hope there's some fixes soon.
When you say you know the bakers are aware of your problems...have you contacted Tech Support directly and/or filed Problem reports? If not, then don't assume they're aware. If so, then good luck on getting those issues resolved, cause they sound pretty nasty!

    soens,

This isn't going to help your problem - but did you know that changing colors for folders (and MIDI and audio tracks) actually works in SONAR X1 and X2?

I was just wondering - because you have a few folders there (I like to use folders too) and it's a lot easier to see things, if the folders are a different color (either the test, background or both)

Soens: Your problem is probably not enough RAM for that many tracks.  Does that computer have a video card or are you using onboard video.

You're right. I apologize. I thought I was contributing to screen shots of the week. Wasn't
asking for help or intentionally hijacking.

I don't know if this will help but last week I posted a message about wierd behavior in the Track Manager. I didn't mention it at the time, but another issue was that the Inspector view was completely foob'ed as well. I was able to get around it by eliminating folders and Simple Instruments in a completely rebuilt project. I notice in your screenshot that you seem to be using both. Perhaps things will become sane again if you eliminate those.

Hey everyone, it was just a momentary fluke caused by a graphical glitch in Sonar. The knobs and faders simply forgot to load in that time. They were also non functioning.

Just thought I'd post it in case someone else ever got the same thing.

No worries about hijacking the thread.

Colors in Preferences for the Track Pane "Folder" only changes the title text and data screen background colors, which I normally use. The Folder Background and text screen colors are not changeable there... unless you use Panu's utility.
