NAMM- any Cakewalk rumours?

I believe NAMM starts tomorrow. Was it this time last year Cakewalk released the Concrete Limiter?

Roland Connect have their teaser page in place so there is some new stuff coming.

A new ProChannel module would be cool.

Hopefully X2b fixes A LOT of problems....I can't really even use X2a anymore....which makes me really
sad...I think I need to do a Walmart "Rollback".

I kind of wish they would "separate" the Touch component as an option on install.  I have absolutely
NO USE for it, and, as of X2a, I can't even use a few plugins before my CPU #1 goes bonkers...
diidn't have that problem before X2a...so is that just coincidence?  Don't know.  No one seems to
care, as they are all excited about "Touch".

And that's ok.  I have other tools to use.  Just hope they get it fixed.  I guess the paying Beta Testers will
continue to do their job until Cake gets it fixed, and, by the time we get to X2d, we again should be stable...
just in time for the release of X3....

If you want rumours how about this. Roland is selling Cakewalk and putting all their money into stomp box plug ins for the iphone.

sonar should just revert some things back to x1 like lanes
and some back to 8-5 even tool box
then they would have a great product to show off at namm with little effort. then bundle PC plugs into the main daw like Brick limiter
and call it X3 double expanded, my wallet is screamin for this

I may have missed them - if you have not posted details on your issues with X2a, will you please do so?  Maybe there are some things that can address some of them.

    Thanks,

Yup, hold off purchasing x2 myself until I see less action and complaining about bugs on the forum lol.
If it's anything like previous, as has been mentioned, it will be stable just before the new version comes out ready for another paid beta testing period of 9months haha.

As for new, Roland have brought out the Studio Capture, 12 preamp interface, can connect 2 together :D It say's VS preamps, hopefully they ain't as pants as the ones in the VS series of recording consoles >.<

My question is whether or not the StudioCapture with will well with the OctaCapture (since I already have this unit).

It would have been nice to see something about the audio interface in that video.

    This.

Yeah, the thing is an absolute monster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   It is hands down, "the coolest, best," interface around.   The V-Preamps, have an autosens, and you get compression on each of them.

    The thing is totally incredible!!!

I wish they would do something like Rednet though..  unless you get a sub 2 milisecond latency with the VS tech, but I doubt that, I think the best they can do is 3 ms....

Still, "this is the best audio interface!!"

It probably destroys anything motu, or presonus..   It probably kills UAD appollo in terms of latency.

I find the lack of news unsettling. Why is this new device leaked some place else and not on Rolands DAW site. Based on unchallenged spam, riotous threads and a general lack of interest, I think Cakewalk is on auto pilot.

Come on Cakewalk, prove me wrong! How about some news.

I got an email from Roland UK this morning entitled "Check the latest Roland and Boss NAMM gear three days early" It has a link http://www.rolandconnect.com/?_cldee=Z2x5bi5iYXJuZXNAdGFsa3RhbGsubmV0

In addition to the studio capture there is an updated Duo Capture  which has Cakewalk SONAR X1 LE for Windows included. X1 ? is there no LE version of X2?

    Intel i7 3770K @4.4GHz, 32GB RAM, 240GB SSD System disk, 2 x 2TB and 1 x 1TB (with SSD Cache) HDD. Windows 10,  Sonar Platinum. Roland Quad Capture.
