Waves GEQ is a full-featured graphic equalizer plugin with both Classic and Modern mono and stereo components, featuring 30 ISO bands plus high and low pass filters, a high precision floating parametric EQ bell filter, and a real-time analyzer.

GEQ Classic components use traditional proportional Q filters inspired by the renowned DN series 1/3 octave equalizers, which narrow the filter width as you increase a band’s gain; GEQ Modern components utilize special Flat-Top filters which eliminate the artifacts associated with band interaction, and provide perfect plateau and stair-stepped responses. Set band gains one-by-one, or draw your curve via touch-screen or mouse. Finally, GEQ’s integrated real-time analyzer lets you compare the difference between two sources. Created for live sound but equally useful in the studio as well, GEQ is powerful proof that all equalizers are not created equal.

GEQ is Native and SoundGrid compatible, and included in Mercury, SoundGrid Pro and SoundGrid SD7 Pro bundles

    The only reason I can think of to buy any software GEQ is if you have a digital mixer for live FOH use that can host VSTs. Even then, I'd very much prefer a hardware GEQ. Graphic equalizers are handy in a live setting but have very few applications in a recording studio.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    More for FOH, this was announced along with their LIVE reverb for the same basic purpose although it works fine in studio applications as well.

    Just installed it (less than 2 minutes btw) won't find it's way into any projects soon but found a place for it on my Master bus of VEP5 for the time being to test it out.
