Sheesh

I'd never noticed the "remote control" option before ...... thanks for making it obvious Billy. I really thought it couldn't be done ..................... thanks a million.

Regards

Graham

You're welcome, but we should really thank John for pointing it out. I almost forgot about using the inspector fucntions even though I ALWAYS have the track inspector open.

Well, that's why THIS forum stands above the rest. There is always a great community of sharing people here!

This is one of those rare times when two posters working together accomplish a good result.

With your quick solution to the problem at hand we as posters became greater then our separate endeavors. This was a group effort that could not have been successful without both of our participation.

This has also been true in the past with other threads that you have been a part of. You have always added good will and great wisdom. You are also right in adding that this a great forum. But, it is posters like you that make it so.

My very best to you ba midi

I owe all you guys a big thanks - there's no way I would have found that on my own, any time soon, that's for sure. I hope I return the favor to other forum-ite's in the near future.

Ahhhhh, thats great thanks for posting that everyone, I'd failed to find it in the manual completely...

So it seems that an effect's own MIDI learn function can not be used - you have to go through the Remote Control thingy. Shame....

Spinlock,
This is a little off topic, but I'd like to know how you like that Asus K8N-E mobo. Any stability issues?

I've had it about 6 months, and it seems to be fine. I've had a few hard crashes, but I can attribute these to doing possibly nasty things with VPN tunnels and networked games. Certainly it's the fastest box I've ever had - Windows is almost tolerable ;-)

I turned off the onboard audio due to high noise when recording audio, and installed a M-Audio Delta 44 card instead. But I'm using the onboard MIDI, and well as USB-based MIDI. All seems fine - although I do miss notes from my keyboard occassionally - not sure where this one is coming from, and it's not bad enough to cause problems, given the way I use Sonar.

Hope that helps,
