I think it's important to make sure the scales are balanced to start or you might as well whistle Dixie! I never use our scales here anymore cuz they lie! Bwahaahaahaaa

Although included in Sonar, I won't be using the middle east scales until the moderate middle east musicians renounce the actions of the extremist middle east musicians on a large scale!

    1973 "A" neck.

    I'd rather be playing Bass:

Since S5 includes so many of these scales, it is not off topic at all. The scales work very well, I might add.

    1973 "A" neck.

    I'd rather be playing Bass:

Can you tell us some tunes that use that scales 6,7,8,or 9(microtonal)?

    I will listen to them.

How to you get them out of a Korg keyboard?

Also, do you use the scale of the song miserlou:

    1/2, 1+1/2, 1/2, 1, 1/2, 1+1/2, 1/2

This is a very interesting scale. In the key of E, it is the combination of E major 7 and F major 7 chords.

Like the Major scale, Dorian scale, and the blues scale it is symetrical about its center.

I have never seen it named.

Well, there is a basic scale that Korg gives in the global settings, not sure if all the settings are there...but one scale shoudl be enough to intrapolate into the others ....

Yes, my friend, I bought my copy of SONAR 2 for educational reasons. I've found 3 Egyptian scales. If you haven't checked them out yet, because I don't know if they are the most popular scales, but you can see for yourself. Righ click on the FX bin of a MIDI track then pick MIDI FX. Go to Transpose then bullet the Key/Scale radio button. There you can audition from among many international scales. Thanks for the brief. HTH

    F-A-C-E is a Fmaj7 chord
