Which Burner? CD or DVD?

I think its time to replace my cd burner and I am thinking about a DVD burner as a replacement. It seems a lot more programs and applications are on DVD.
Does anyone know the best for burning audio mainly on cd.s.
Or is it ok to have the two on one DAW?
