midi key binding quit working

Hello All-

Sonar Home Studio 4XL 4.0.1
Windows XP
M-Audio Firewire 410 audio interface
Kawai K3

I set up my key binding so that I could control basic transport 'play' 'rewind' 'record' and 'stop' functions from my good ol' Kawai K3 while making music. Suddenly a couple days ago, these bindings quit working. I only get notes playing where I should be getting the metioned functions. I looked at Options...Key Binding and the assignments are all still there. I zapped and re-entered them...no good. Rebooted the computer...nothing. My settings are:

'Midi' radio button active; 'Enabled'checked; 'Key' radio button active; Bind Context set to 'Global'; 'Save changes for next session' checked.

Any suggestions appreciated.

    Bob,

If the key bindings worked before, then I suspect some setting on the K3 may have changed. For instance, an octave shift on the K3 (base octave change) would define the keys differently than SONAR expects. You can check that the correct keys are recognized by clicking in the "Keys" window on the Key Binding dialog (to give it the 'focus') then pressing a key on your keyboard. The key you pressed should be highlighted in the "keys" window.

    Rob-

I will try your suggestion, but usually turning the K3 off and on again resets those parameters, so I have my doubts that changing the octave param will do the trick.

    Thanks-
