Full Album Playback & Editing Problem

Good day,

I have several full album mp3 files that won't play back or allow any editing on Pyro. These are large (about 80 mg) files that were downloaded. I get no popup message that there is a problem with the files. When highlighted and played, the files do not play but the timer simply jumps to the end of the track. It is as if the file is zero mg.

These full album mp3 files play back without problem using Windows Media Player and Real Jukebox, but it appears Pyro does not recognize them.

I would appreciate any feedback or help on how to play and edit these files.

    I use Pyro 2004 and have a very similar problem. Can't play back some of these downloaded albums, the waveform doesnt display anything either.
    I have burnt them using Nero and they play fine....just can't edit them.

    I've received an email from Pyro.

    Quote "Pyro Doesn't support MP3 Album files. You'll need to extract the
    individual songs using an extractor, then load them into Pyro."

    Not what I wanted to hear, but there it is.

    Anyone know some good software....Albumwrap will work for albumwrap files of course, but others?

    I AM NEW TO PYRO AFTER HAVING BOUGHT MONTHS AGO,,, BUT DALLYING WITH ROXIO, AND WINAMP, DBC CONVERTER
    AND I AM CURIOUS WHAT YOUR MESSAGE MEANS. ARE YOU SAYING IF YOU HAVE AND ALBUM CONVERTED TO MP3 BY SOMETHING OTHER THAN PYRO , AND THEN TRY TO BURN IT AND PLAY IT , IT DOESNT PLAY?

    DOES THAT MEAN WE WOULD HAVE TO CONVERT TO WAV FROM MP3 AND THEN BACK TO MP3 VIA PYRO?

    I HAVE A CD WITH 164 SONGS AND IT HAS BEEN FINALIZED BUT WONT PLAY IN MY CAR MP3/PIONEER, BUT PLAYS EVERYWHERE ELSE. IT IS NOT MIXED MODE EITHER ? ANYONE ANY CLUE?

    In my experience downloaded album mp3 files burn and play fine using Nero.

    I haven't used Pyro to burn as yet, preferring Nero, so I can't really answer.

    If you also have a .CUE file with the MP3 file, you can use the (freeware) Musicutter application from here to load the CUE file, then split the MP3 into individual MP3 files using the CDDB file info from the CUE file - http://www.viccroll.f9.co.uk/

    MP3 Directcut is a freeware app that will cut up any long MP3 file into individual MP3's based on gap settings that you can define:
