what is a .WRT file?
-
February 05, 07 11:28 AM
I can't find anything via Search on this forum, or Google, or the Sonar 6 help files, or even my Sonar 6 manual. I know what a .WOV is... so what's a .WRT? Thanks, mike

It is most often a windows write file. You should be able to open it in word pad Best John

Well, I'm asking because I have a a bunch of .WRT files next to the .WOV files in my Picture Cache. I was wonderiong if they were "purgable" as are the .WOV files. the link in a message above??? "http://www.filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=wrt&Search=Search" was pretty useless... I guess you didn't bother to actually read the page you suggested I read. But I read it. :-( So I guess I should rephrase the question: Does anyone know what a .WRT file is with regards to the Sonar Picture Cache files? best regards, mike

À %ÕÀËšPÀ ¼ 5<h3 }¾ œ¤?À¸òd 5<P êA¡é0HÀLð` Ã;à DmÂgÙÂ;ÀPø< Ã;ü ni5Ö¿…M Klaatu barada nikto! Bet they're for AudioSnap. It looks like there's a WTR file for each audio file. I deleted the WTR file and noticed when enabling AS for that clip in Sonar, there were no transients markers.

It's all greek to me... But on the subject of 3-letter file extensions, the one that seems to get most mentions in the forum is the WTF file. Don't know what it is, but people sure don't seem to like it much...

Oh yeah, WTF files are very common in here. But I get bad karma whenever I see them, don't understand why .
