Floating windows ?

Hiya folks. By default i have Sonar LE (came with the excellent Edirol UA25 !).

I'm trying to find out if i can take the console window and a few others to my 2nd monitor, can't seem to find any options on the menus or the context menu for the said window to allow it to be on top or floating - and i really need the screen real estate. Any help ?

What video card do you have? What are you trying to float? VST GUIs generally wil float, but certain screens within the program need some special handling.

    Hi there Rob....

I have an ATI X700 Mobility Raedon driver (vista updated), and run a 2nd monitor (LCD TV via VGA out). Hate to say it, but I have Cubase Studio 4, and I can float whatever window I like over, can't seem to get Sonar to do the same.

I already have the option to extend on the 2nd monitor set.

SLE is a very stripped demo for Sonar, and I would fully expect CS4 to blow its doors off. I like the Sonar products I am using (Sonar Home Studio4, and soon, Studio 6). If you are comfortable with Cubase, I can't honestly see spending too much energy on SLE. It gives you an idea of the Sonar workflow, but it doesn't really represent the best they have to offer.
    Just my 2 cents.

Oh yeah i realise that Cubase will s**t on Sonar LE, but considering i got it for nix, it's handy to have - plus it exports MP3's whereas CB Studio 4 doesn't !!!

I've just solved the dual monitor issue, but dragging out the very main window to screen 2, and just shifting my wanted windows there - not exactly floating windows, but rectifies the issue, and I can save that as a layout too, so I'm happy !
