track color

Something has been bugging me for ages and was just confirmed this afternoon.

I've just finished re-installing the good old 8.5 on a goog old XP machine and guess what I saw.....well in the track view the background color of a clip automatically change as you record a new track based on the defaunlt track color assignement sequence, which can be customized.

So my first track recorded was blue, the second red, the third green, etc., etc.

Where I'm going with this?

With splat everything is always blue even though I know there is a default sequence configured....the same one as 8.5 actually.

What am I missing? There is not that many buttons to click in the colors configuration window......it has to be something obvious!
