track record button CRASH all time!

Just this one thing at this point...
Update: When I'm using recording on many tracks at once and I start hitting the record buttons to turn them off after recording each button creates a drop out...1800 Tascam. ASIO drivers... But I must say it recovers instantly....

Hi. Which driver mode and latency setting do you use? Does this happen on every project or just one? Do you have any 3rd party plugins in the project(s) that crashes? The more info you give, the easier it is to try figuring out what the problem is.
    All the best.

I assume you are talking about drop outs?
Usually it's caused by a peak of load that your system can't carry.
As Ken above suggests, the basic info is needed in order to guess anything. What do your projects include and what kind of a PC do you have? How are your buffer settings?
Are your drivers Tascams own ASIO or ASIO4ALL (which is a WDM wrapper)

One very common cause of drop outs is that one tries to record with very resource heavy mastering plugins inserted.
You've been a member for two years with nearly 300 posts, I assume you have managed to record succesfully during that time - what has changed??

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

I normally just plow through the issues to get things done and work around... I had some time so...
I didn't think it would be a big issues.. :) Yes lots of 32 and 64 bit..Waves, Slate, and IK.... and yes. drop outs.
Tascam ASIO that seems to default all the options. 24bit. I've only been using ASIO drivers a short time to record more then one track at a time. (drums) with my 1800 Tascam (latest drivers) any fast fix or tricks ideas? or maybe its just how I work... You know, open plugins as the tracks are playing, dragging stuff around when things are playing... seems way more dropouts them other versions pre splat... Thanks just the same :)
