track wav file is not playing

track wav file is not playing

lo all, .wav file i have set on a track will not play. when i open up the wav file by clicking in the track it will play fine, but when i play the song i never hear the wav audio... any suggestions?

    you're going to need to give a little more specifics on this. when you click on the track it will play fine...in MC? or in Windows media player or what? but when you play the song you never hear the wav audio...that sounds like a contradiction to me, so you'll need to explain.

    on track 7 i have an audio wav file that will not play or I don't hear it if it is playing, however... if I bring it up in loop construction and hit play in the loop contruction tool it plays fine, but when i hit the main play button for the entire file I get no sound from the audio loop track...

    so click the play button in loop contruction = sound
    click main play button for entire file = no sound

    all other tracks play midi okay... i'm just not getting sound from my audio (wav) track loop

    yes, that's more helpful. right click on the clip and select PROPERTIES. see if MUTE CLIP is selected.

    this may sound weird, but looking in the MC mixer Console, it shows the track 7, where i have my audio, as a midi track

    meh... i don't know what happened, so i'm just reconstructing the track and it's working fine

    yeah, if it's a MIDI track and you dragged an audio clip onto it then it won't work.
