[track][Website] NEW Tracks New Website [check it out]

Without further ado I present my new Website:

http://www.tristanhansen.com

3 brand new tracks.

Check out I Guess I'll Dance Too.

Red Sky Music my 8 minute crazy electronic piece.

Spitting metal is also new.

Also check out some of the non-music content up at my site. I have a funny article about the moon and some poetry that I wrote.

Any sort of questions, comments or suggestions would help me out a lot.

my only complaint is that the first pic...you have black fonts, and you cant read it.
and it looks like the small logos I made for you are stretched out???

    other than that..looks good.

Thanks :10:. I should have fixed the problems you were talking about. The graphics being stretched out was a mistake. I'm not sure if you were talking about the intro font being black or the site map at the top being black. If you are talking about the intro I think I fixed it. If you are talking about the site map I will have to check it over again.

Thanks DA, I know it's a lot of material. If you get a chance check out I guess I'll dance too I think you might like it.(even though it's kind of sarcastic) That was one I wanted to put on the compilation album.

wow... "I Guess I'll Dance Too" is one of the strangest songs i think you have ever made...lol....definatly not my thing..

red sky music: I really liked the begining, I think you should have worked more with the volcals. i thought it was going to be through out the whole song. so i was a little disapointed. very chaotic.

Spitting metal : this was my favorite out of all of them. i guess just a little easier to listen to.

thanks for sharing, glad to see you back on the forums.

Thanks a lot for listening :10:. I can understand why you didn't like the first one.....not very dark and very sarcastic.

Red sky music just kept going and growing into a crazy stravinsky influneced piece. I wasn't quite happy how it turned out but it is what is.

Spitting metal was done for my electronic music class a long time ago. Too much repetition for my taste but I still enjoy my drums on that one.

Again thanks for listening........oh and I'll be back at school soon so I'll be around a lot more.

    OH NO!!!
    Not cool at all.
    It works fine for me??!?!?!
Tell me if this keeps up!?!?

    Are you using FireFox?

I think my server sucks and I think I'm going to move it as soon as I find a better one.
Until then keep trying when ever you get a spare min or two.

It may have somthing to do with me moving back to school but I don't think that would do anything. Nver mind....just see if you can get there sometime.

Triscuit havent seen you here in a while. Your a trip man. Your stuff is wild. Hey but I can appreciate that. Not much I can comment on cause its kind of all over. I like 7:15 of red sky. and Im still listening to the others man, very cutting edge in my bookvery intellectual/abstract somehow. Real cool if watching a tripped out winamp visualization, and while burning but I digress. 7:03 of red sky to 7:123 was cool.

Listening to spitting metal this is my fav of the three so far. Maybe cause its stable! :) lol just playin though. I like it. 1:44 is cool and from there I thought it was chill. Nice little portfolio there man.

later let me know how you feel about [track] Colombian Gold if you get a chance. I'd be interested to see how it strikes you.

Thanks a lot for listening crab twins. I left feedback for Columbian gold. Keep writing music crab! So far everyone likes spitting metal which I thought people would like I guess I'll dance too, because of the dance reference, but you can't win um all. Anyway I sent my server an E-mail and they replied and I quote.

    Yo Tristan,

If it makes sense for you (i.e. not locked into a contract) checkout www.powweb.com - had nothing but stellar service from them and their prices and performance are excellent.

    Tristan...

    I came .. I saw... I conquered. well...okay..not conquered...but I listened!

I like the photos but the site looks a tad linear....then again...it's not fair for me to say that seeing as I had mine done by THE MASTER.

Listened to your tunes.... the "I GUESS I'll DANCE TOO" is NOT a dance song...just so you know. heheh
I liked it. In fact I found it very amusing. But hardly danceable. Your homework is to listen to Fragma, Armin van Buuren, and some Ian Van Dahl....that's a beginners crash course in dance!
Now..your track. Loved it all except the vocals and samples. Your actual score and production was very good! Samples...BAAAD. They just sounded way too choppy...the "OH YEAH" was terribly annoying. Man...I'm harsh eh? Ah well...its only my opinion which counts for nothing really. But...I'm not going to just give you a line. The instrumentation was okay but also took away from the "dance" element....in fact the synths lent themselves more to a carnival type atmosphere then a dancey affair. Maybe that wasn't the goal, but I just thought a title like that should have been a "DANCE" song.
I'd love to convert you to my world....so do your homework and you and I will talk DANCE brutha!

SPitting Metal was really well done production-wise. The intro sample was maybe a little too loud in the mix...but I liked the rhythm and the crooning. (Im a sucker for wanting more reverb though). I like your little fast-forward garbley sample...nice touch.
Melody was spot on! Nice hook! Maybe think about a different synth or two coming in cuz that organ gets old. And you of all people should know better than to do an ending such an injustice!! Get back in there and put a fade! LOL...Just kidding...but it needs something other than just an abrupt CHOP!

By the way... have a good year at school you young pup!

Well thanks for the review DA, even if I got a really empty felling after it.

It wasn't really mean't to be a dance song just dance infulenced. You know Bass drum on every beat.....well for a while at least then I got bord.

Well I'm tired...updates coming soon. I wish right now but nothing seems to be working right. I wish I had more time. Infinite time would be great right about now.

Hehe........I realized that the empty feeling was that I was really really hungry . Seriously though my young supple body needs sustenance or I get really depressed. I ate some crackers and I felt better.
I don't mean to prolong this topic but what do you guys think of my new logo?? I made it myself in fireworks. Yep that right I broke down and bought the macromedia crap. It was just too easy because they gave me the educational price on the macromedia website. The best part was that it was also downloadable so I got like 5 programs on the same day that I ordered it!!! Anyway I'm probably going to make a new normal site and a flash enhanced one if I ever get that infinite time thing I was talking about.

looks good. I only have dreamweaver 7...I didnt care for the fireworks,or flash...I prefer corel products.
dreamweaver 8 is coming out...looks nice...but the upgrade price kinda sucks....

Yeah they are giving it to me for free!!! Bang bang studio 8 in the house! Best part is I can just go download it when it's ready. Fireworks seems to work a lot like corel (I think) because it works with objects and such. Its annoying getting the object you want on top and selceting the object that you want because they get buried. I can't wait to learn how to make animations.

    Now where's my blasted wand?
