tribute to James

I just like this.
I tend to call it my tribute to James.
Or, maybe, james meets Wes?
KISS..

That's amazing, very nice. I could almost "See" James Brown as I listened?

Yes.... two of my all time favorites, JT and Wes!  Very similar to JT's "someone" from One Man Dog, except the guitar solo on that tune was done by John McLaughlin.

Really nice. Well played and produced! I'll probably be back to listen to this one again!

I'm always knocked out by your guitar playing. (But then I like all guitar players).   All kidding aside you have great sense of melody and timing.  You know where to leave spaces and your passages always have something to say.

    Very sweet.

    Hi Tim,

    Beautifully played and produced.

And refreshing in an anti-extended-shred-solo kind of way.

Very nice indeed!  Beautifully played and produced.  I think that you hit it with James meets Wes.  It sounds like a JT number but the guitar and guitar style does sound like Mr. Montgomery.

Hi Tim. This is a great tribute. It really shows the power of note choice and the song has such a nice subtle feel to it. It felt like you were thinking out loud through your guitar. It leave me wanting more but sometimes that's kind of an effect in itself.

agree fantastic. i am always in awe of you acoustic pickers, and of course you can also do a jazz solo....this is so much more skilful than my over-distorted shred, and so i worship at your feet...

    Tim,
When I was working in Massachusettes and still living in New York, I used to drive home for the weekends ( 6 -7 hrs). I bought a box set of James Taylor's first three albums and used to listen to them on the drive. Ditto when I moved to Pa from New Hampshire. Now that I'm in Toronto and the family is back in Pa, these three CD's still keep me company.
There was nothing like driving through the Berkshires and listening to JT to keep ease the trip. Your songs could fill those shoes equally as well.

man this is as good as it gets....lovely....hats off to you mate!! I just love the way you use space....more times than not that element of silence is not use as we all tend to be crammin all the notes we can into each number...

    this was so well done...
