trying to connect axiompro 49 using old PWKelly post - stuck

greetings, found a real thorough post by 'pwkelly' kind of old but seemed very useful, till i hit a snag.
i am trying to get the settings in so that this axiompro 49 will help me get to another level on this recording ladder thingy.  i was going fine until i got to the part where the post said something like 'save the settings to device' . well, in my computer the arrows that should have initiated that move are still greyed and not responding. just wondering if anyone will see this who would be willing to suggest what i must have done wrong, or missed
