hehe i think everyone who has owned p5 from day 1 should receive a p5 t-shirt free in the mail by next friday with cakewalks compliments for a job well done for hanging in there thru thick and thin. there is no cheaper advertising to be had. i can't figure out the strategic plan that cake has fostered to keep the p5 t-shirt out of the hands of their loyal customers. cake shame on you.

if i remember my history, grandpa mojo was given this shirt as payment in full for all his work on www.project5.com so we have no idea what this shirt is really worth i thought that was just one of the myths of P5 history, but now that i've seen it, we should probably enshrine it, or we may need to have it authenticated.

ORIGINAL: wrench45us if i remember my history, grandpa mojo was given this shirt as payment in full for all his work on www.project5.com HA! - that's closer to the truth than I'd like to admit! so we have no idea what this shirt is really worth i thought that was just one of the myths of P5 history, but now that i've seen it, we should probably enshrine it, or we may need to have it authenticated. The Lady of the Lake,... [angels sing] ...her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft this shirt from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Grandpa Mojo, was to possess it. [singing stops] That is why I wear the P5 shirt! :-) - Grandpa Mojo www.grandpamojo.com

is that a stain on the left pit? Actually, it's on the right pit, from the perspective of the wearer. It's a somewhat blatant attempt to add authenticity to what is an obvious but cleverly crafted forgery. Nice one, Chris, but everyone knows that trumpet players/guitarists get much greater ventilation in the right pit than the left. Unless you've been concentrating exclusively on that upright bass, I'm afraid that the evidence is clear, and quite damning. Even keyboard playing allows for equal airing of both armpits. This screams of touch-up effects using Photoshop. we may need to have it authenticated First of all, we all know that the t-shirts don't exist; that alone should raise a red flag in anyone's mind. I suspect that this composite "photograph" was constructed using displacement mapping in a 3D application; either Max or LW. It doesn't appear to use NURBs, so Rhino is out, but the mesh is heavily sub-divided and enhanced with bump mapping and careful tweaking of the U-V co-ordinates. A 2D scan of the original Project5 retail box is layered, along with the grayscale height & terrain maps, and meticulously lit with three-point lighting techniques. Then this was rendered with radiosity, and flattened for the result that you see above. If you dispute my findings, Chris, I'm more than willing to administer a battery of hands-on tests, free of charge. I will guarantee minimal damage in the carbon dating process, but this level of verification simply can't be rushed. I'll return it safely, but that may take some time. Send it to B Rock @ The 'Gator Shack c/o the Everglades National Park. There's a federal park ranger that ...uh, comes to check on me every few weeks, and he'll be happy to deliver it (after a thorough screening inspection). Please insure the package heavily; I've yet to determine the whereabouts of the last package that you sent me ...

I think someone (:10: ??) should knock off a design that looks like that, except below 'Project 5' it should say, "The Unauthorized Grassroots T-Shirt" so we can print iron-ons for ourselves. ;-)

ORIGINAL: agincourtdb Listen, just because some watery tart throws a shirt at you is no basis for a system of ownership! Come and see the violence inherint in the system! Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! I've had good luck using an inkjet printer to make iron-on T-shirts. Of course, they don't last more than a dozen washings. But they look ok.
