tts1 keeps resetting
hello, after hitting play, all of the fader adjustments that i made on the tts1 built in mixer get reset back to the default setting.
i searched this forum's previous posts and saw that someone had a similar problem with tts1's eq and panning, etc. someone else expressed having a related issue there as well. a solution was not posted in that thread.
does anybody know what causes this?

I have the same problem. I looked into the event viewer to see if there was something causing it to change back. I even tried saving the change in the TTS1 but gave up.
Is this something that's tied to the track or midi data?

Is this a known issue that's been recognized but not addressed?

i searched the s8.5 forum and there are a lot of threads in there. i found a thread describing exactly what we're experiencing. http://forum.cakewalk.com...=1459790&high=tts1 at the least there's a link to a sound on sound review article for the tts1 in that thread. the solution that worked for the op did not work for me. i'll delete the current instance of tts1 and try it with a fresh one... who knows?

Yes, the forum has most answers. But didn't know if this was a new issue or not. The article is from 2005. A lot has changed since then. I'll soak up the information when I get home tonight and see if I can figure it out. The TTS1 is what I use for collaborations and sampling downloaded midi files. It's a great plug in.

jumbicat, as far as the fader levels are concerned, i just noticed that if you adjust the level from the midi track volume it adjusts the level on the tts1's mixer and it doesn't reset. so that at least solves the fader problem. you can also pan from the midi track, but if you if you want to do other things within the tts1, those adjustments may get reset.
hey, volume and panning is better than nothing.
anybody know the real solution to this apparently ongoing problem with tts1?

Thanks for that. Now that you mention it, I was able to control vol/pan with the PCR-300. I really need to figure out the Bass parameter. If I turn it down during playback, the voice blends with the mix. But soon as I hit stop/Play....gone. Sorry, I haven't checked into it yet. I've been reading the GR-55 reviews....as I suspected. It's not living up to the hype. I also wanted to mention your other thread I read regarding soft sythns. RIGHT ON! I really do not like having to listen to every voice to get an idea of what it is. Dimension pro at least gives some classification, but the names....I don't know what those folks were smoking or drinking.

I just checked every possible option in TTS1 and same as you... didn't work. Step sequencer also defaults everything. It's almost like I'm hitting the panic button. I'll go to track options and if I can't figure it out, I'll most likely end up contacting technical support tomorrow.

I've submitted the question to technical support asking if the TTS1 is hard coded (Fixed) and if other parameters could be isolated from the panic reset command. That's not what's happening, it's just my layman's terminology of what's happening.

Sounds like the defaults are kicking in ...turn the "W" on for write automation enable... set the faders and hit play.... then turn the W off...see if that solves it...
I seem to remember that as well..... I don't use TTS much anymore.....
