Sounds quite good here, I would like to hear the guitar a bit more when the band are playing, other than that it sounds accomplished and production is polished. Thanks for sharing

Hi Gary, great stuff as allways, I also think the lap steel could be a bit louder. Somehow makes me think of the Miami Vice theme tune. Rik

Aww man, Gary that intro made me smile ear to ear, what a great, greasy tone. Not so keen on the horns, they seem way too loud to me. Wonderful phrasing on that guitar though, love it.

Sounds good Gary, to me the brass stepped on your awesome slide work a little. Not sure if you could help that with some panning.

I love it... that is some fine slidin' Gary... Love the horns too... Did you play the parts from a keyboard, or did you edit & arrange sampled phrase loops..? whatever you did, worked very well...

Gary, very nice. The horns are good; just too out front for me.

Wookiee: Hi John, thanks for listening, glad you liked it! Rikkie: Hi Rik, how have you been? Great to hear from you. I appreciate the listen and suggestion about the steel volume. I will probably raise the steel volume or lower the horn volume at some point. james1213: Hi James. Thanks for listening and commenting. The general consensus seems to be that the horns are too loud so I'll have to go back and work on that. Thanks again. Lynn: Hi Lynn, thanks for listening and for the kind words. eko: Hi, thanks for listening. Glad you liked the tune. I used Kontact Sax and Brass samples for the horns. The Band19: Hi Robby, how are you? Yea, the slide stuff was kind of an afterthought to the horn arrangement so they do get in each other's way...the horns are already panned hard left (trumpets) and hard right (sax & trombone) so I don't think there's much I can do panning-wise. Although when I listen to it it sounds like the slide is stepping on the horns Thanks for listening and for your suggestions. Great to hear from you. notnat: Hi Frank, how have you been? Thanks for checking it out. Glad you liked the tune. I played the horn parts on a keyboard but slowed the tempo down quite a bit in some sections. bapu: Hi Ed. Thanks for listening. I appreciate the comment about the horn volume and will go back and make some adjustments.

Gary, A simple solution to the horns and slide stepping on each other is THIS TOOL. Snd the slide to one bus, the horns to another. Put Space boy on both buses (one send one receive) and I venture to say you'll probably get some good results for the $30 investment. Ya, you could do it with proper EQ/ducking but I'm lazy and I found that tool to be very helpful (and quick) in some instances.

Hi, Gary, Wow, this is really a top notch, killer blues jam and a richly textured, totally pro quality mix! The slide guitar playing and tone is absolutely phenomenal, the horns sound fantastic, and I really love the spacious, crystal clear mix. Outstanding work, Gary, this is awesome, brother! Bob

Captivating intro. Groovy licks everywhere, excellent musicianship and arrangment. Like others, I loved the horns but they stepped a little too much on your guitar playing, a little EQ Im guessing thats all. Really liked this. Cian

Dude, you always inspire me. This came across beautifully on my monitors. My Grandson (2.75 years old) mwas napping and I kept cranking this up a bit more and then a bit more and now he's bouncing to the music on my lap. He already jams on keys and I bought him a ukelele in Hawaii. he bounces and moves to the beat. That makes two of us. This blew me away, buddy!

Bapu: That SpaceBoy plugin looks pretty useful but, before I had a chance to use it, my DAW crashed and won't boot anymore. So, for the time being, I'm just gonna leave it as is. Thanks for the tip, though! dcumpian: Hi Dan. Thanks for the listen and mix advice! Much appreciated. CLEAN: Hi Mark, how are ya? Thanks for checking it out. Glad you liked it. I really enjoyed your collab with Freddy on 'Catfish Blues'. darylcrowley: Hi Daryl, great to hear from you. Thanks for the listen and your kind words. Excellent job on 'We Might Not Make It', btw. Bob Oister: Hi Bob. Thanks for checking out the tune. Always a pleasure to hear from you. I appreciate the positive feedback...and look forward to hearing your next heavy rockin tune. whack: Hi Cian. Thanks for listening and for your kind comments. Great job on 'Fly & Follow' and good luck in your travels. evandianepug: Hey Warren, how have you been? I appreciate the listen and kind words. Glad to hear that you and your grandson enjoyed it! Thanks again.

Wow, Gary, great job. Neat little tune, and what a cool deal on the interplay between the slide and the horns. Loved the tone on that slide.
