upgrading SPLAT kinda confused......

So I own SPlat and my support ends January 2017.

I was looking into updating to SPlat lifetime by Dec 31 and this would cost me $199 (maybe cheaper somewhere else like JRShop).

but under my user account is says I am subscribed Annually.  and if you look at the chart for support is says $99 for one of the versions.

There is nothing in the shop or my account that allows me to upgrade my support for another year, I can't find anything.  I assume that if I buy Splat upgrade w/lifetime for $199 that I will just get lifetime support.

but what if I just want another year .......what does that cost?  how do I purchase?

I use Reason and am on v7, upgrade to v9 is $129.  I use Cubase and there is a new v9Pro that is $99 for me to upgrade that.  I am using Splat less and less, but as I use Cubase and FLStudio 12 more and more.

soory long rant for such a simple question but I wanted to give some background.  with Xmas sales etc I wanna get the cheapest price but don't wanna shoot my foot off either.

any advise, tips or dymystification would be greatly appreciated.

Reading all that , now I'm confused

My Splat ended on Dec 17 th ...,
I wanted to go Lifetime . After logging in to the Cakewalk store I bought it for $199 ...

Had I not wanted to go lifetime I would have just waited for the sale to end on Dec 31 st. Then I would have re-upped for a SONAR yearly membership when ever I felt like it ...

SPlat would have worked fine and the programs stability and features  would have been locked into whatever my last paid up update was ....

IMHO, The thing you may have to decide for yourself is once December 31 st comes and goes ,
The SPlat Lifetime deal may never come along again...
if it does next year or when ever... will it be at the current loyalty price ? or will the price be a lot more ?..

Can you be OK with that ?

    all the best ,

    Kenny

I think that if you were subscribed to SPlat for 2016, you fall into the group that was offered the $99 lifetime deal.

I agree that you should contact Cakewalk to sort that out ...

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

The $99 lifetime deal for current SPlat was announced in May 2016 and ran through August.
Possibly it was extended - wouldn't hurt to ask.
The following is an exert from the May 18th email.

    Pricing/Availability

The regular price of upgrading from SONAR Platinum to lifetime updates will be $199. However, because you already purchased a renewal, we’re charging you only the difference between the price you paid earlier this year and $199.

For example, if you renewed SONAR Platinum for $99 earlier this year, you pay only $99 for lifetime updates. Pretty simple! We’ve already taken care of all the details and adjusted your price so it will appear correctly in the store.

Limited-time Offer: Lifetime Updates will be available only through August 31st, 2016. Act now to secure your Lifetime Updates.

Yeah I'll contact Cakewalk Monday and see what's what  still a bit confused. I know $199 takes care of it regardless and if I go to JRRShop that it will be a bit cheaper. so there is that.  Just not sure I wanna spend that kinda money, though I am gunna have to spend something to be current.  ugh!
