usb midi input wont stay selected

usb midi input wont stay selected

hi folks. ive just upraded from 8.5 pe to x1 (patched to version c ) and in my preferances midi devices every time i select my yamaha keyboard in inputs (usb midi ) and click apply the window dissapears then pops up with the usb midi unselected. it all worked fine in 8.5 pe. can anyone help ?

    Welcome to the forum.
    Have you tried unplugging the USB cable and then plugging it back in?

    Same problem I'm having, and if I choose an available midi input and click OK, a message tells me no input is selected.
