using audio fX for soft synth tracks bounced to audio tracks

Hi,
I just bought Music Creator 5 and love it. But I'm finding it challenging to operate. I would like to use the the Audio Fx found in the Toolbar: Process/ Audio Fx/ AEC,Chorus, Compressor, ...ETC. for for soft synth tracks bounced to audio tracks. I have been clicking on the audio track to select it then go to to Toolbar: Process/ Audio Fx/...any... and clicking on the bold black Fx name and nothing happens. Can someone please point me in the right direction? BTW I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and it's audio driver.

Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the forum.
You have to have the effect in the soft synths audio track's FX bin to apply them. Right click in the FX bin, select the effect you want, then you should be able to Process>Apply the effect.
But that's not recommended; Once the effect is applied to the track, you can't remove it once the project is saved and MC is closed. Better to just bounce the synth track with the effect in it to another track. That way you'll have the original, uneffected track (which you can mute or archive for later use) and the effected track.
You might decide at a later time that you don't like the effect.

Reread your post. Yeah, bouncing is the way to go instead of just applying the effect to the track.
