virtual instruments system requirements

Hello All-

I am noticing that the websites I am looking at with the intention of purchasing virtual instruments do not post the most basic of system requirements: Will the VI work with Windows 10?

I wanted to buy Chris Hein Horns compact, but was told by a vendor that it does not comply with Win 10 yet.

Can this be? Many of these make use of the Kontakt Player. If this works with Win 10, wouldn't the instrument?

I would like to use either "Chris Hein Horns Compact" or possibly Bigfishaudios "First Call Horns".  For basses, I am also looking at either Vir2 "BASiS" or possibly NI's "Scarbee Pre-Bass". None of them come right out and list the OS's except Vir2, which does it rather vaguely: "Windows XP SP2 or above."  I am pretty sure the "or above"  must refer to the version of Windows, NOT the service pack number, but I've been surprised before!

Any insights into Virtual Instruments compatibility with Windows 10 welcome!

I run ZILLIONS on Win 10...no fears...

If it says compatible with Win 7 or 8,
there is everey likelyhood that it will work fine
    on Win 10

AFAIK, any plugins that work on Windows 7 will work under W10. The only problems I've ever had were related to moving from a 32-bit environment to 64 bits, not to the O/S revision. Certainly any Kontakt-based instrument will be fine.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thanks guys...That makes me feel more sure about it.

I think I got some bad info about Chris Hein Horns from the vendor I mentioned...I emailed CHH directly and got a reply within an hour saying that if Kontakt works on my system, then any product they have will also work, which is what I suspected as I went along with my research.

I just sent an email asking about Win 10 to Bigfishaudio. Unless I get negative info from them, I think I will go with CHHC for Jazz/Pop Horns and Vir2 BASiS for my new basses.
